It’s been almost a year since this shit dropped. I thought “Control” was going to wake rappers up. I thought it was going to usher in a whole new era of dudes coming with better verses, better songs, more meaningful content. Instead, eleven months later, we’re still getting the same old watered down bullshit about women, clubs, drinks and money. It is what it is, I guess.

It’s time for Kendrick to drop that second album though. N’s is waiting.

It’s not really the rappers that need to change, it’s the people. Those same rappers are making the same songs because the people are still interested in the same topics. If rappers did step their game up, I suppose it would force people to adapt, but not every rapper is going to change and so we will still have that same type of rapper making money of the same thing. It can’t be this way forever obviously, something’s bound to happen, I just can’t see it too close in the future.
